The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"
1. Took off work this afternoon as I am starting to get some congestion and just want to take it easy, take a nap and try to get myself feeling better. Thankful for sick leave and a great place to work.
2. It is a nice day here in Kansas! 64 degrees! I’ll take it.
3. Off tomorrow as well to take Ken to a 4 month follow up Dr appointment.
Ordered a home sleep study because I want to purchase a tiny travel CPAP machine before my trip. I need an RX and it would take me too long to get all that set up here with a sleep clinic. Obviously I know I have apnea, but the company that sells the one I want needs a script so they sent the home study equipment. I had to sleep without my machine last night. The results from the test were awful. I have to do it one more night.
Krista inspired me to go to the pool today. It was also in defiance of the cold and ice! LOL Usually even after a long absence from the pool, I can jump right in and swim a half mile or more. Not today! It was hard but I did probably 30 lengths of the pool. Crawl one way, backstroke the way back. I also walked a few lengths. My elbow hurt from moving the water.
Fired a couple yesterday. They were doing telehealth but not usually in the same place. He might be at work, having to answer phones. She may be driving. One of their main complaints is no quality time together. I told them they had to find a time, with me or someone else, where they can put 100% in a session. I told them they are right to expect that from me and I can only help if they do the same. Well, they decided their lives don't allow for that so that was that. Tbe wife asked if she could see me individually. I said I could but it disqualifies me from ever resuming couples counseling. So, that's what we did. The husband is a police officer with a temper so I am a tad nervous that he'll just show up at my house. Probably not but I did call Jenn (practice owner) and go over the whole situation. We decided that I should send each of them an email summarizing all that happened. I did that yesterday.
