The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"
The temps are 65 today. It is such a difference from 34 yesterday. Most of the snow is melted except for the drifts, piles, and shaded areas. The first time I let Poppy out today,y there was still lots of snow visible out the door, shaded by the neighbor's trees. When I stepped out, I braced for the cold, but it felt good. It was just weird for a minute.
One of my husband's nieces-in-law called yesterday. He put it on speaker phone, and we had a good talk. She wanted to inform us that they had taken her MIL to a specialist and, instead of dementia, which her doctor had diagnosed, does not have dementia but has sleep apnea, causing her memory fog. He hopes that putting her on CPAP and other therapy will help her. It might not bring her all the way back because there may be a little brain damage since it has been occurring for a while, but he thinks that she can have a better quality of life. That is such good news.
Got a call from the utility company about a grant to help the elderly make their homes more energy-efficient. They set up an appointment for a free inspection. If it needs more insulation, we would have to pay for the insulation, but the labor is paid through the grant. They also caulk windows. It is kinda weird to think of myself as elderly.
My mother had a check-up yesterday. She says that everything is ok today.
Being able to get on FSF today and getting gratefuls to open.
1. Off today to take Ken to the dr for his 4 month check up. We just love our new Dr. Ken broke down in his office telling him how tired and frustrated he is not being able to do what he once could and how he doesn’t feel like his body will ever function the way it once did before he fell last year. Our sweet Dr slid his stool up close to Ken and took his hand and talked so sweet to him acknowledging his feelings and telling him he is going to work hard to help him feel better. How sweet is that? Love that man and am so thankful he is our Dr!
2. I was planning on going to lunch with Kim today but started coming down with something yesterday (I believe it’s a cold) and decided to cancel. Grateful that I actually am feeling somewhat better today and can reschedule with Kim. She doesn’t need to get sick!
3. Beautiful day outside! Love these milder temps.
4. Weekends. Always better when they start a day early!
5. All of you sweet ladies! Love you so much!!

doctor too, I think. I hope that he can get Ken to feeling better and able to get around better. It is so hard to build back up after getting so sick like he was. Our bodies just want to keep resting, and that is hard to overcome when you feel so exhausted and even weak all the time. Unfortunately, the insurance cuts off PT when we show some recovery instead of keeping it going until we are back on our feet well.
