Our son and grandson came to have breakfast with us this morning. Always great to see them! Most of the snow and ice is finally gone after 3 weeks on the ground. I know Krista, but 3 weeks of more than an inch of snow/ice still on the ground is a record for us. Watching the Olympics.

You know I've gone through 4 inept handymen. Well Deborah recommended this one. He cut the chandelier wire too short and had to rewire the whole thing! Hope he knows what he is doing!!! Couldn't believe it. All 5 of these guys were recommended by a friend or a neighbor! All I know is that it is done and All the huge boxes are recycled. Had my sofa and den carpet done Thursday. Not pleased. There were some pee stains the said they couldn't get up. That has never happened. Blood? Wine? Maybe. But never just pee. I think I posted this already. Oh, well, I'm old! Didn't get to the pool. Started working on my taxes and got lost in them. Was so afraid I was going to owe since I didn't pay my estimated taxes but, my income was so low due to missing almost 4 months of work plus working very little with Telemynd the first quarter, combined with lots of medical deductions and the fact that I furnished a new office... I'm getting $1000 back. Relieved! Happy Valentines Day!

Five for me... Posted by Joan on 2/14/2026, 8:24 am, in reply to "Valentine's Day grats..." 1. Our Walmart has some of the most courteous, most helpful staff anywhere. 2. We have such friendly neighbors. This past week, a gentleman from the next street saw us and chased after us to say hello. 3. I have been married to my Valentine for 50 years! 4. I have been wanting to try Dubai chocolate, just to see what all the hoopla is about. I got some for Valentine's Day and I can't wait for Treat Day to try it. 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!
