At the last family holiday I ever attended, I brought a big picture book I made of a trip, excited to share it. I would wait until there was a lull and bring it up to show. Each time, they (my sister, especially) just looked at me and went on to something else as if I hadn't said a word. 3x at least. It was hurtful. Guess I've been thinking about that. Sorry to project it on to you, my chosen sisters. Had a new evaluation at PT yesterday, shifting the focus to balance since my back is good as long as I do my exercises and don't sit all day. I can't stand on one foot past the count of 1 or 2. It's incredible. Sounds like the cane will be in use on my trip. And, I still can't get to my feet from a fall unless there is something to lean on or hold onto. I honestly thought I'd be able to do it when push came to shove but, when I fell in the backyard ( not sure I posted this but I was throwing a toy for Cosette. As I pitched forward to throw it, I went down with it...in the muddy backyard. Had to crawl around dog poop to get to a tree to help me up), I thought for sure I'd be able to get up. Nope! It's as much my elbows as anything. I just can't put that much pressure on them to push up. Driving to my office in a bit. I want to get some treatment plans done and I concentrate better when I am there. Besides, even though it's 25 minutes away, I love my office.

Being able to order groceries and pick them up at the curb! 3. This lovely weather we are having. Love having 70 degrees in February! What is that old saying about March coming in like a lamb and going out like a lion? 4. Krista’s dad is getting better. 5. Started watching a new show on Hulu called Paradise. Ken and I both love it! Is anyone else watching it?

Every time we try it, even if we check no substitutions, we don't recognize the things that we get, and the bill is always more than what it was online, so they adjust our credit card, or there is almost nothing there because they were "out" of most of the things we ordered. I can go right in and fnd most everything on my list right after they say that. It would be so much easier for me to do curbside pickup if I could trust them.

Actually … Posted by Cindy on 2/28/2026, 12:59 pm, in reply to "How did" We met when Covid stopped our in person Weight Watchers meeting and once they started back up in certain locations they stopped the big zoom meetings and a group of us just decided to keep going. It is a local group and we have been doing this for a couple of years now but when I went to an in person weight loss group on Saturday mornings I didn’t do the zoom. With Ken’s health the way it is doing the zoom meetings now makes more sense!

My husband is now on a gluten free, dairy free diet. At first it was hard finding things for him to eat, but with perseverance, we're finding more and more food choices for him. With the remodeling, Walmart now has a gluten free section. Very helpful! 3. Paula shares some of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen. 4. A few days ago, I broke out in hives. I don't know what caused them, but my husband high tailed it to CVS and got some Zyrtec which cleared them right up. 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!

I hate that your husband has been put on a gluten and dairy-free diet. It is so much easier today than it was when I was put on a gluten-free/dairy-free diet. There is so much more info and commercial products these days, though, so it is not as hard as it used to be. I used to have to drive almost an hour to find nut, seed, or bean flours and make my own bread. Internet ordering was iffy when I did find things. There will be a learning curve, but I am sure that you will have it down pat soon. Funny fact. I made myself a cabinet for my products and had another for the family so that they could still have some of their favorite things, but I wouldn't accidentally grab something that I wasn't supposed to have. Everything that came into our house got read carefully and divided. I remember once standing there reading the ingredients on the back of the dog food and putting it in the family cabinet before one of the kids said something. Learning all those words for things that carried gluten or dairy just became second nature after a while.
