The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

We had a nice visit. Dinner on Saturday to a Classic Restaruant in East Lansing.... that has been a dnace hall along with some classuc musical performers in the past... It;s so cool. Coral Gables: But,I wish Murray was here.of course.
Yesterday was sunny all day .

I am going to make some party favor birthday bags take home bags for the birthday party.
You wonderful ladies!!!!!! I love you all, sweeties.
had so many calls and messages yesterday to make your day bright, and Mike and the kids came to visit and brought flowers! It sounds like Alex and his girlfriend drove down in the middle of the week just for your birthday. That's special! I am glad that you still have Saturday to look forward to. I hope that they have a performance, dance, or something for you to enjoy while you are there.
Actually, Alex is going to Michigan State which is down the road abou 3 miles from where I live. His girlfriend is a senior at their high school. She often picks him up at the dorm. He can't have a car on campus as a freshman. But... I am so blessed to have them both in my life.
I don't know why

But I thought he went somewhere else to university, maybe because he is living in a dorm. I don't know why, because I did that too. My mother lived about 20 minutes away from the university, and I drove there to finish high school after she moved there during my senior year of high school. It made it a lot easier with my crazy schedule, job, tutoring students, and even occasionally the fun stuff to live on campus. Thank you for clearing that up. I know it is none of my affairs, but I feel better with him close by.

Had my yearly yesterday. The test results are coming in today. All the numbers are smack in the middle of the normal range, better than pre-colonoscopy in November. I don't know if they are all in, because she ran some tests that I don't usually get to check specific vitamins and minerals and immunity. It says the doctor has not viewed them, but I am not expecting any shocks right now.
Enjoying spring weather while it is here. Yesterday we took the same route that we took on Monday, except this time the little woodlets and homes had blooms: Redbud, Dogwood, Bradford pear, Forsythia, Service berry, Japanese magnolia, tulips, muscari, hyacinth. It was so pretty!
Our SIL is back on days. He has been on nights for the past 4 months, training for a new position. The whole family is so happy that he is back on days so they can do things together again.
Our son and DIL had a vision for their house when they bought it. It is coming together nicely and is so much more comfy now when we visit. They are so much happier with it.
We got a check yesterday for the damage at one of the rentals during the snow/ice storm. It should cover the work to get it all back to normal.
Talking about insurance, here is a funny story. We noticed when we bought the new property that the retaining wall had given way in one corner, so we would have to repair it. My husband has asked several neighbors if they can recommend anyone to do the repairs. Thankfully, they have all come through, and all say the same company. They told us how it happened. They said that the man who used to live across the street was working on his car. He left it running and, unfortunately, left the door open while he went inside for a minute. When the man came out, he couldn't find his car, but several neighbors were crowded around the water and told him that his big dog had jumped into the car and evidently knocked it into gear. It rolled toward the water, missing three trees in the way. The dog had jumped out unharmed, but the car was underwater. When they pulled it out of the water, it was FULL of fish. Several neighbors showed us pictures, and I don't know if I have seen so many fish at one time. Every inch of that car inside was covered. Of course, his insurance paid to repair the retention wall, but the owners were already in a nursing home, and their grandchildren were living there. It never got repaired.

Taking Lew and Blake to the new vet clinic today. Grat is really that it will be over by 4! Poop sample collected. Cat carrier out. Blake actually got in to nap yesterday. Just noticed these two cuddling. Love seeing it. So happy that Lew has a friend to share his last years with. Cosette was frantic when I was bathing him yesterday. I think she would have been a good mommy. She also got frantic when she saw Blake in the carrier. My funny girl.
Seeing PT tomorrow. For the past 3 or 4 days I have had a horrible pain sort of my my waistline (of I had one!) around my back, right side. I thought it was just stiffness and could be stretched out. It's sort of like having side stitch but worse. Can't lay on that side and literally wince when I push on it even a little. Would think it was gallbladder if I had one. Could be a kidney stone but my kidneys were great in December and I don't have any of the other symptoms. Constipation? Well, I took care of that yesterday. Pancreatic problems. Again, no other symptoms. I'm hoping Carmella can give me some idea.
One of my almost 80 y/o clients reached out to me last night. Her much beloved cat,Sam, had to be put down. She knew it was coming but you all know how that is. So many of my older clients are pretty alone. While it's not typical therapy, I like that they know they can reach out to me for comfort. She said I should charge her for a phone session. I told her that pets dying get a free phone call. She laughed which was good to hear.
