The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Posting this here so you will see it…
Can you have your friend just drop you off in front of the building for the opera and then go park? Then if you feel like walking downhill afterward it won’t be as bad as having to walk uphill, or you can just ask her to go get the car and pick you up. A good friend should be more than willing to do that.
I understand your frustration with food. I feel the same way! I’m an intelligent woman, yet I can’t make the right choices when it comes to eating healthy and am struggling so much! All we can do is keep on trying and hopefully one day it will kick in and we can turn things around.
Love you my sweet friend.
Thanks, Cindy

That is what she has done for me for the past couple years. I just knew when I got these tickets last summer that I'd fit comfortably in the seat and be able to walk up the hill. I can't believe I'm in this place again! I'm too embarrassed to ask her because she was really cheering me on when I was doing well and wouldn't get the struggle. It is a limited friendship. I got an out tho. She texted me earlier and asked if I would mind leaving a little early and going to the cemetery with her to visit her partner's grave. John's birthday was tbe 13th and the 17th was the 4 year anniversary of his death. I told her I would find my own way and not to worry about picking me up. I know she'd prefer the quiet time at the grave site. I can walk much better now but hills kill me. I think I posted that she was an IRS attorney most of her career. She is very black and white. When she and John first got together, they agreed that neither of them like anything that has to do with feelings and decided they would leave that out. Like I said, we have common interests but are totally different people. I know I am the only person she ever even slightly opens up to when it comes to feelings and I tread lightly. At the same time, she came every day for 2 or 3 weeks to give me my IV antibiotics. We get together about once a month for dinner. Sometimes more. We can talk for 3 or 4 hours. It's a weird relationship.
I’m glad…

It worked out. It’s good to have a friend that can help you and to spend time with. Enjoy the opera.
