Sunday Grats Posted by Delta on 4/5/2026, 3:09 pm, in reply to "Sunday grats..." The most wonderful celebration day of the year to remind us that He arose. My lilac is so big and in full bloom this morning. My husband let Poppy out during the day yesterday and the day before. I picked up the night shift on both days. It is in a place that I only see it at that door. The last time I noticed it, it was beginning to take on a green tinge, the leaves not even fully opened yet. Today it is glorious. It has never been a big bloomer, so I was sorta shocked. I didn't really expect our middle grandson to be here tonight. We will be eating about his bedtime since he has to go in so early these days. With the distance, he won't get much sleep tonight, but it sounds like he will be here. My mother has been treated like a queen this week. Wednesday was her birthday. She has been taken out for lunch every day this week, showered with gifts, has been taken shopping several times, and has lunch and dinner invitations today. I am glad that she has so many people near her that can do what I can't do from here, and I couldn't go because my husband had surgery on her birthday. My husband is slowly recovering. Last night and this morning he has been acting more like himself.

My five … Posted by Cindy on 4/5/2026, 10:45 am, in reply to "Sunday grats..." 1. Easter morning. He is risen! 2. A nice 4 day weekend. I could really get used to this! Was off Thursday for Ken’s pre op for his spine stimulator, only worked a half day from home on Friday and then my regular weekend. Love it! 3. Saw the number on the scale finally go down this morning. So grateful. Ken wants to lose weight as well so I have picked up more fruits and veggies to help us. 4. I’ve had a lot on my mind with Ken’s health problems, my aches and pains, and our time with our sweet Maggie coming to an end. That still weighs on me heavily as she is losing control in her back legs. She very rarely can jump up in bed with us and Ken and I have been picking her up (she weighs around 70 pounds) and putting her in our bed at night. I know a decision will need to be made, but I’m just not there yet. I am grateful for the bad times as they remind me how strong I am. 5. This day and all it has to offer. God is good.

I had an appointment the 30th to talk to them about the trial but I pushed it back some because of the physical therapy. I really hope this helps him. Please let me know which it is. Trial or implant. Hugs

It is…. Posted by Cindy on 4/6/2026, 3:10 pm, in reply to "Cindy" The trial one where they tape the battery pack on the outside of his body. He has it done on Wednesday, 4/15 and will wear it until Monday, 4/20. We have known several people that have done it and have had success with it so we are hoping it will help Ken. If it helps him then they will schedule to have the permanent one put in.

A lot of mine is SI and it won’t help that at all because it’s a joint but my back is a mess also with a disc herniated and pressing on a nerve root. I can’t wait to hear his results. I hope he doesn’t have much pain from it. If it helps how long until the implant?

Seems like you've had her forever. Posted by Paula on 4/5/2026, 11:27 am, in reply to "My five …" I totally get it since Lew has the same issues. The vet said he actually has decent musculature but he has trouble on hard surfaces. My vet recommended a muscle protein thing to put in his food. She has beagles and said it helps them. Also got a lift harness but haven't used it yet. Short walks to build up his muscles. I don't think I've ever had a beagle live past 13. He's 13. We're all with you about aches and pains. Yay on the scale moving in the right direction.

Hopefully all tne Easter Egg hunts around the area will happen and people won't get drenched coming home from church. Not going to the Vatican. I've been there twice but if anyone wants something from the Vatican gift shop, I'll try to get in. It's accessible without having to go in the Vatican. 9 notes to do. Practiced packing yesterday. As soon as Blake.saw.tbe suitcase, he ran out of my bedroom.:-((

It started at 6:00 am! 2. The medical profession that's finally researching and treating obesity as a disease. 3. Watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy with my husband laughing and trying to answer the questions first. 4. It's Easter, the most wonderful, joyful, glorious day of the year! 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!
