The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"
My husband had a doctor's appointment today. His chest is still bothering him. Doc did a chest X-ray. Instead of just having an infection, he has fluid on his lung again, just as he did after he had bypass surgery. Same lung, same place. I am grateful that he already had a check-up appointment today. He had just gotten antibiotics from a walk-in clinic that thought he had an infection. Hopefully, finding it this soon it won't get as bad as last time.
He has been having a lot of trouble with confusion, dizziness, forgetfulness, and more anger issues since they did the stent on April 1st. The doctor checked the new meds they gave him and took him off one of them.
He has a cardio appointment tomorrow, so the PCP hasn't done anything about his fluid yet. He is planning to let the cardio docs handle that. Since they are at the hospital, if they can work him in they may drain his lung tomorrow and see if it takes. I pray that he doesn't have to have another lung surgery.
We had two tornado warnings yesterday and last night. One went north before it got to us over farmland, the other went south, again over farmland. So many houses and probably lives were saved because of it. Praising God for that.
Had a check-up on my toe today. Only have to go back as needed, hopefully, never. It could take up to 6 weeks to completely heal, but it hasn't bothered me at all unless I wear closed-toe shoes. Good thing that it is warm so I can wear sandles.
1. Ken’s surgery is over and all went well. Grateful for the technology, all the talented people involved in the surgery and most importantly God.
2. Time off from work with pay.
3. Naps. I plan on taking one this afternoon. Love them!
4. My best friend Kim is feeling better. She had some gum disease that was affecting her lower 4 teeth in the front and had to have them pulled and a bridge put in. They couldn’t get the bleeding to stop (she’s on blood thinners) so they had to go in 4 days later and do oral surgery to pack things and get the bleeding stopped.
5. This day and all it has to offer me. God is good.
Such a blessing
