Hannah and family came over to celebrate Mother’s Day w a beautiful mother daughter willow tree and cooked us a steak and asparagus dinner. The girls all made canvases with their handprints. Chris Breianna and family coming soon to bbq for us. Hoping to go fishing this afternoon. I’m missing Mom a lot this weekend and it is something we loved to do together. John got me flowers today for being a good mom to his children all these years. So sweet. All of you.

My five… Posted by Cindy on 5/10/2026, 11:07 am, in reply to "Sunday grats..." 1. Sunday mornings. As usual the dogs got me up early to go out and are now back asleep! I am sitting in bed drinking my first cup of coffee and listening to the gentle snores of my sweet husband and Maggie! All is well in the world. 2. Working in the front yard yesterday. Glad I got things done. I was going to work in the back yard today but it is sprinkling out right now so if we get a lot of moisture I won’t be able to. 3. Our home. I love our house and am so thankful it is paid off. In May the second half of our property taxes and our insurance premium for the year are due. Grateful to have the money saved to pay both! 4. I talked with the contractor that has helped us with our remodeling and he will be able to come help me with another project in June. I want to put wainscoting on the stairwells going up and down in our house and add an additional handrail going downstairs for safety. 5. This day and all it has to offer us. God is good! Happy Mother’s Day to all of you sweet ladies. Love you!

Sunday - My Church celebrated Mother's Day today with a special blessing, and handed out carnations at the end of the service. I love my Church. 2. Yesterday we watched "Remarkably Bright Creatures" on Netflix which is based on one of my favorite books of the same title. Loved it. 3. Keeping in touch with relatives and friends via the internet. 4. People questioning all the gerrymandering occurring. I hope that will translate into votes. 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!

She’s such a great actor. We will have to check it out! I, too, am thankful for the internet because I wouldn’t have met you and all the other lovely ladies on this board without it!!
