Thursday Gratitudes Posted by Delta on 5/14/2026, 6:34 pm, in reply to "Thursday gratitudes…." My mother ordered an enameled Dutch oven, but it was much too heavy for her. Instead of sending it back, she kept it and gave it to me, still in the box. It is a beautiful red, and I am tickled with it. I will cherish it because she gave it to me. It is such a beautiful day today, and the birds must be enjoying it because they have sounded so pretty all day. My roses are all blooming but one, and they are gorgeous. They all got frozen when we had two weeks in the single digits. I was sure they were dead this time because they just greened out within the last two weeks. Usually, they are blooming by St. Patrick's Day. The one that isn't in bloom has come out of the ground and is about 2 feet tall now. Working on an Attitude of Gratitude makes my days go so much better. When I am constantly looking at all the good things, I often completely miss the negative things that could take me down. All you ladies and sharing your lives for the past 14 years for some and over 30 for others.

My five… Posted by Cindy on 5/14/2026, 11:12 am, in reply to "Thursday gratitudes…." 1. It’s THURSDAY! Krista’s dad get his surgery and Ken gets his staples out! 2. Lights went out a little bit ago but have come back on. Grateful for that! It’s really windy out this morning so that might have caused the problem somewhere down the line. Grateful for all of the people that work for the power company that come out in all kinds of crazy weather to help restore our power when needed. 3. I had a consumer cancel her appointment with me at work this morning so I decided to just take the whole day off instead of just this afternoon. Grateful for paid time off. 4. Planning on working in the back yard this weekend. Grateful for the strength to do it. Did I tell you guys I had the riding lawn mower serviced and the blade had a big chunk out of it? Guess I must have hit something I shouldn’t have! Ken thought it was funny-so there’s that at least! I was afraid he would be upset. 5. All you precious ladies on this board. I pray for each of you daily. You are my sisters and I love you. Have a great day!

So grateful that the staples Posted by Delta on 5/14/2026, 5:42 pm, in reply to "My five…" are coming out (have come out) today. I hope that, going forward, Ken will have much less pain. I feel for him with the healing process. My silly toenail was not much bigger than a pencil eraser, but as it is healing, it has the weirdest sensations and now has started itching incessantly. I keep thinking about him and how much larger his wound is and how it must be driving him crazy. Doc says all that is good stuff and music to his ears because it means it is healing well. Yay for the four-day weekend this week!
