Told her what I really wanted was to drink 4 lemon drop martinis, eat a lot of bread, pass out on the table and have her take me home. She refused! Took both of Lew's ramps down. They were always safety hazards for me and drove my PT nuts when I described how I navigated them. Still have his bed in my room and look for him each morning. Helped a little to take some time off work. One more week of eye drops. My face has suddenly become all wrinkled. Carin didn't believe me so I sent her a picture. She was stunned because this kind of change doesn't happen overnight. She said it has to be stress, dehydration, too much alcohol and crummy nutrition. Check, check, maybe, check. Maybe vanity will improve my choices.

Cinq Choses Pour Moi Posted by Krista on 6/20/2026, 10:37 am, in reply to "Saturday Gratitude..." 1) Ray for helping out with the lawn and yard maintenance at my Dad's 2) Dad is slowly improving. He still has a tube for draining in his rectum and the wound vac will be there for awhile. He has antibiotics daily but he is now able to walk around the floor with physio and the pain has reduced. They will re-image him this week and we're hoping for a release this week also 3) my aunt is helping out with spending time there today and on Monday so that will give Paul and I some good rest 4) put some money into RRSP's while I have it so I can avoid so much paying at tax time next year 5) reining my eating back in today as I"m up about 3 lbs. I don't want to get into the cycle of "days of old" Have a great weekend ladies!

Five for me... Posted by Joan on 6/20/2026, 7:03 am, in reply to "Saturday Gratitude..." 1. Heading to the salon today for haircut/style in preparation for Father's Day tomorrow. (Who am I kidding? I would have gone to the salon today no matter what day is tomorrow.) 2. Visiting our son in Clearwater tomorrow for Father's Day. 3. The USA men's soccer team is doing well in the 2026 FIFA games so far. (Does anyone else think the USA team looks like characters from Where's Waldo?) 4. Amazon Prime Days start on Monday. I have things in my cart hoping to score some savings. 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!
