Tomorrow he has a cat scan and based on the outcome, they are hoping to remove the tube (butt) and replace it with some sort of internal medication. He is still on antibiotics via intravenous. He told me today that he feels he isn't making improvements but I reminded him that he is. He is now having pain in other calf (relatively new so we don't know what that's about). No word really on when he may be released other than based on tomorrow's results and his ability to come off IV meds and onto pills. We are on the waiting list for a hospital bed at home. Paul is looking into estimates for getting tub removed and shower put in instead. At least they are planning for a future.

At one point my sister had her hospital bed in the living for more room and so she wouldn't be alone upstairs. I wish him to have less pain. Tell him he is cared about BY people all around the US. Love you.

I have to remind him how far he has come and it’s been a year and a half since he fell down. The way your dad is feeling is normal. I’m glad you are checking into the hospital bed and getting a walk in shower. That will help a lot! Are there places that you can just rent a hospital bed until you can buy one?
