Friday update Posted by Krista on 6/26/2026, 3:41 pm Dad's wound site is looking much better but still using wound vac. Stoma is shrinking so that's another good thing. Less pain today in calf. Catscan showed things looking a lot better in the past 2 weeks that he has been there. They still have the butt tube in and it will be "next week" while the doctor thinks about what he can do. What he wanted to do may only be available in the USA so he has to do more research and says he may have to "jury rig" something up. No word on hospital bed from extra-mural. I feel so bad for Dad - he knows he can't go home without a solution as they are afraid infection will set in again. He understands that but is still very frustrated. They hope to get him off intravenous antibiotics and onto pills.

Glad the catscan is showing improvement! That is great news. It’s just going to take time. I hope they can get him switched over to pills soon. He will feel better with those IV’s out. How are you guys doing? I bet you are exhausted! Take care of YOU! You can’t pour from an empty bottle. Love you!
