The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

1) jumped in the pool for a quick dip after work
2) they are "scoping" Dad tomorrow - hopefully some sort of implanted "help" to heal inside. Will be interesting to see what they come up with
3) they are doing a catscan of his left calf. It's been causing him pain for the past 2 weeks. I'm glad they ae addressing it while he is there. Again, no idea what this could be but it will quiet his troubled mind I hope
4) got my Prime days stuff also Nothing as exciting as a new laptop
Going back and forth to the hospital can be so discouraging. You're finally ready to come home.and, then, boom, you're going back. Hopefully, it's for good next time.
Find something easily fixed for all your Dad's problems. After my mother got a colostomy, she kept having an infection for over a year. They could get it cleared up, only for it to come back again. Nothing showed up on any kind of scanning devices. Finally, a surgeon went in for a look-see. The stump of her colon had healed with a recess in it. It kept getting filled with fluid that got trapped and would eventually grow bacteria. She hasn't had a minute's trouble since. Hope your dad has something so simple.
If I can find me a hairstylist, I may have some short hair soon. I wore it short for years, but my stylist got cancer and was out, so I haven't had a haircut in over a year and a half. It is down past my bra strap now and getting on my nerves.
A year?

OMG Delta - that's horrible. I don't think Dad would ever make it a year!
The new neighbors at the new house. A whole community of the nicest people around who help others all the time. If you need help, post it to the neighborhood digital bulletin board and several people will respond in minutes. Even if you don't ask and someone sees you doing something, they will show up to help and often bring beer for everyone. They have set days that they will meet for breakfast or lunch, and anyone who wants to can show up to socialize. It is Dutch, but someone is usually grabbing the tab for us newbies.
Typing this on my new Prime Days laptop. It is so light, lighter than the charger even. My other finger pad is going out, and several keys stick. Typing is extremely frustrating and time-consuming. This one is a joy to type on compared to it. Got it all set up by myself and moved everything over from my other laptop, as well as photos from my phone. My husband didn't think I could. I can follow written instructions and push buttons very well, thanks. Didn't take but a few minutes, and no cussing involved.
Installers started installing the flooring at the new house and it was not as advertised. The color was way off from the samples and pictures they had even though the name was right on what came in. They already had one small room done when we noticed it. The owner of the flooring company came out to look at it and decided to let me pick out flooring from a different company that he has worked with more often and knows that the colors are more true to samples. He is not going to charge to redo that room, even labor. He said that He was sending it all back to the company because nowhere did it show, either in pictures or writing, that half the box of mid to dark brown and gray flooring (think a weathered deck or driftwood) would have nearly half the box in solid white boards. None of the pictures show any white boards with no darker shading, but the boxes had a lot of just white boards. It made me dizzy to look at it. Happy that I don't have to keep that mess.
Our house is shades of brown. My husband's garage is shades of brown. My husband wanted the boat slip to have a gray roof and redwood stained floors. I tried to gently persuade him otherwise, but he refused to listen and ordered his preference. I did ask for a sample of the redwood stain instead of just a chip. He tried it on a board, and it was more like fire engine red paint. The company doing the work called back that if he wants the gray, it will have to be ordered, and the company that makes it is on vacation, so it will be August before we could get it. Problem solved. He went with my suggestion that coordinates with the house and garage for both the roofing and decking.
My husband had a tooth that was crowned a few months ago. The gums around the cap have been getting inflamed and bothering him constantly since. The dentist took the crown off and worked on it today. He also packed it with medication. He has to go back in August to get his cap back on. I hope this gives him some relief.
Our SIL got new tires on his truck today. They have needed them for some time, had money put back to do it, but with his crazy schedule and our daughter's seizures, he just hasn't had time to get the tires on. We have been ragging him because they were very worn from all the miles he put on at his other job. He had a blowout a few days ago a few miles from home, and had to use his spare so he got an appointment for today while he was off. There is too much to go wrong on the road today without skipping normal maintenance.

I am so glad you have a wonderful community like this. It's so positive. Quite an atmosphere of kindness.
Nice that he ultimately went with your suggestion.
Good news on the tooth!!!!
Can't wait until you have us all over!

The gratitude about your neighbors just warms my heart. See, with all the craziness in the world, in our country, there is still goodness. Goodness abounds! Thank you for sharing!
I am looking for a new laptop right now. I couldn't find what I wanted during Prime Days, so now I'm waiting for the Florida education tax holiday.
Your neighbors…
