After a scheduled appointment at hospital yesterday we thought we go to the restaurant for a bit of lunch before we came home. It was quite difficult to navigate with various things where you served yourself. I queued at the “hot” meal counter and asked the server if she could tell me what was gluten free? She said “oh I can’t do that, you’ll have to look at the board” in an abrupt manner. The “board” was stuck at knee height with tiny writing which covered all different allergies with dots and circles which had my eyeballs spinning. Needless to say, I had a cup of tea and the gf ginger biscuits I’d bought with me! Brought to tears again by a lack of thought for us with limited diets. Sorry! Rant over. What’s it like where you are?
