When posting messages that contain useful information please only use smilies at the start and end of the message to make it easier to copy it to the supplementary board. It is even more helpful if you post a copy of useful information on the supp board yourself.

GF hotel lake district Posted by Bill D on 5/4/2023, 19:30:42 Looking at a holiday later in year (after school hols) where we we can be looked after rather than self catering so anyone got recommendations for a nice hotel in the Lakes. There is a snag however and this is where I might be controversial so expect some fiery replies, we want a pet free hotel as well. Searches so far have yielded some promising results as far as GF is concerned but then dashed by "we love your dogs" or some such statement. I know many dog lovers can get extremely tetchy at the thought of not everybody loves their pooch. Personally I don't think animals should be allowed in hotels, certainly not restaurants. Bill D.

I've seen people in dog friendly restaurants allowing them to sit on the dining chairs and eat from crockery on the table, then the waitress goes and strokes the dogs.I can only imagine how they behave in the rooms. I bet they don't wash their hands afterwards. Needless to say I didn't wait to find out! Good luck with your search
