When posting messages that contain useful information please only use smilies at the start and end of the message to make it easier to copy it to the supplementary board. It is even more helpful if you post a copy of useful information on the supp board yourself.

There was to my surprise a gluten free sandwich available. It was very heavy, bulging out the sides of the plain wrapper. It was hard to hold it together but the first bite began a wonderful experience. It had three different cheeses, a creamy mayo type dressing and some sort of spring onion marmalade. The GF bread was good. The whole thing was one of the very best things that I have ever eaten and definitely the best GF sandwich. Dinner later was not required I was so full.

My wife did one last weekend, not GF, and it has lasted several days so far just wrapped in foil. Our conclusion is, rightly or wrongly, that it must be the gluten that is the difference. Our FREEE GF bread mix has xantham gum in it, would adding some extra do the job. Bill D.

Re: Wasted money Posted by tiny susie on 14/11/2023, 8:03:04, in reply to "Re: Wasted money" well my bread is ok kept in the freezer and cut first so I can put some in a tupper ware lidded box in the fridge.....truth is that do not eat lot of bread though/toast as prefer pancakes...not a very keen bread eater/ prefer other things like roast potaoes / jacket spuds done in my air fryer.also variety is necessary i.m.h.o.
