Beer: gluten and alcohol free! Posted by Halle on 15/1/2024, 17:39:41 I appear to have lost the ability to tolerate alcohol. Not sure if this is coeliac related but have been unsuccessfully looking for GF and alcohol free beer and just came across this: Big Drop Paradiso Citra IPA Beer - Naturally Brewed Alcohol Free Beer with a Citrus Zing - Vegan & Gluten Free Available on Amazon. Have ordered a free tins. Anyone else tried it?

Both were okay, Big Drop has quite a lemoney taste.I have rarely drunk beer in the past (typically on hot days on holiday) so really can't give any comparison or recommendations. They tasted of beer😆, I had no reaction to them and I would buy them again if I fancied a beer. I wondered if anyone had tried Impossible, their "enhanced lager" is gluten free.

Not Alcohol free as well though. The advent of all these local craft ale breweries has opened up an incredible choice. We are particularly well served down here in Somerset. Bill D.

Best one we've found is Drop Bear brewery in Swansea, we even stocked some of their gf and alcohol free beers at our local beer festival. The yuzu one is especially good.

My youngest son is a beer expert, he produced a real ale magazine Hop & Barley until a couple of years ago. He has tried the Big Drop Paradiso but found it a 'bit thin', however he is not coeliac so doesn't need GF or alchohol free. He suggests Free Damm, alco free and GF (I think it has the Coeliac UK logo on it) Bill D.
