I am building a bit south of Salerno. Unfortunately not on the water but it's close enough. I don't need another boat,
Been busy cleaning up and fixing the little damage that occurred.
The biggest tragedy was a latge Ficus tree that fell which was a prominant feature central to the front of the house, It provided SHADE which is hard to come by but beyond that was important to the look of my home.
Hurricane Wilma a few years ago destroyed it leaving a giant craggy stump. It took time while I thought about how to remove it and... it started growing again. First a few leaves and I thought this sucker is going to try to make it.
In the first few months it looked like a giant Q-tip and in a short time was a monster again.
I looked at what was left on the ground with this beautiful gnarly beaten up trunk with all of the character you can't buy, Then said WTF lets raise this thing.
I hired a giant tow truck and brought it back up then sprinkled Viagra and watered well. You have to wait half an hour and the directions say if it stays up for more than four hours, call the doctor. I'll wait a couple of years.
All major roots are gone but a Certified Arborist I hired said no problem, We will brace it well and he said it will come back again,
Weeds, you just can't kill them.
