Twenty or so years ago I had a mordern Parker Duofold. I should have never gotten rid of it
. In a fit of sentimentality, I decided to look for a replacement. I found one for a reasonable price on the Bay of Evil. I am very pleased with my purchase but I am confused if it is the International that I was told it was, or possibly a Centennial? It came with a medium nib, which I would like to replace with a fine italic ( like my old one) and I need to know what size nib section to purchase. Since I have not handled a modern Duofold in at least ten years, I was content to believe that this is the international size, but (as a lark) I tried the section in a Jinhao 100, I had heard that Centennial nib sections are a perfect fit in the Jinhao, and it was, to my surprise! So I immediately got out my calipers (a cheap one admittedly) and the barrel girth doesn’t match any measurements (for centennial or international) I found on line. I hope someone here can tell me what I have? The barrel girth seems to be about 12.2 mm, the narrowest part of the grip is abou 10.2 mm and measuring at the rings on the grip (right behind the nib) is maybe 11.2 mm. Capped length is about 132mm. This is a flat top version with date code IIQ putting it at 1990. Thanks in advance for your help!
