Fred actually retained his copyright. I was working with him to publish a book when he died.

Fred was working on coloring some of the early black & white articles and had sent me his cover design.

Tragically, he passed before he signed the publishing agreement. I tried to contact his family, but did not receive a reply so the project died.

Astonishingly, Fred was color blind! He'd color an article and show it to Annie (his wife) for approval.
