Personally, I think the 94-A's with the bronze striations are the nicest looking pens in the history of Moore's production line of fountain pens. The ones I find most special are those which also have splashes of pink.
Typically, these pens were outfitted at the Factory with a "Moore Maniflex Life" nib but, of course, that was not an absolute. Will, this nib does not look like a Maniflex Life but the imprint is a bit obscured by the ink. What kind of nib is it and do you know if it is original to the pen?
Also, most, (but certainly not all) of these had a fluted cap band. Personally, I think that cap band is more attractive on this pen because it is a better match for the clip and cap rivet. But I have also noticed that the gold plating on the solid (non-chased) cap bands is exceedingly thin and wears off very easily. Does anyone know if the cap bands were a buyer's choice back "in the day?" I'm guessing the solid cap bands would have been the lesser expensive of the two.
Thanks again Will; I could gaze at these 94-A's all day and not tire of them!!
