However, with that cartridge in place I am quite certain a piston converter would work. They made another common converter, a "squeeze" converter, but haven't been made for years and are getting expensive on the used market.
If you are wanting to use bottled ink, you have two options: either source a converter (I think I put a link to some in the first response) or you can do what a lot of people do - purchase a blunt needle syringe for a buck or so, and then fill the cartridge with ink from a bottle (after flushing it clean with water from the syringe). Honestly, I do this in a bunch of my late-mid-century Sheaffer pens. If you want step by step instructions, let me know.
