While it really does work, especially if you aren't into customizing the look-and-feel for yourself, he really hasn't updated it in years and years (eons in software time). As such, it is a bit awkward on modern platforms.
I can see the value of both digital and analog. For the paper approach, one thing that would be a slam-dunk would be to write the pen's entry with that pen (or at least a portion of it) to give a written impression of what the nib actually *does*.
