Also, click on any picture then go to the Picture Format tab > Adjust > Compress Pictures and compress all the pictures (uncheck "Apply only to this picture") down to 96dpi email size. That should make the file smaller and faster.
You could try saving the file in the xlsb format to reduce the size and *maybe* speed things up a bit.
An alternative would be to store the pictures in a folder then have only a hyperlink to that picture folder in your spreadsheet.
The workbook will be smaller and faster and you'll always have access to the latest and greatest pictures via the hyperlink.
