I was informed of this sad news today by one of my friends, who asked that I let other Pentracers know:

Longtime member of Pentrace, fountain pen collector and snailer, Sheldon Crook has passed away. He was a minister and lived in Prescott, Arizona. And he was a heck of a nice guy too.

Sheldon’s sister had notified my friend, although no further details are known at this point. My condolences to Sheldon’s friends and family. May he rest in peace.
