The pen was nice (basic black). The #10 adjustable nib rare (at least to me - I don't recall seeing one lately).
But the nearly $2800 sale price is WAY out of line with what I would consider reasonable. It would seem the buyer just threw money at that one.
And 100% of that buyer's bids were with that one seller (from Singapore)- that seems odd to me.
I think your assessment of what a reasonable price would have been is more in line with reality.
I don't think this one sale is indicative of where the market is at. At least not a market I'm going to participate in.
