Yep, Wearever was vigorous at creating pens that looked like more prestigious ones. Not only the Duofolds from the 1940s, but ones that mimicked Sheaffer Balance pens, Conklin lever-fills, etc. That's one of the reasons I found the aping of the Pennant model--a late Wearever where the production standards had slipped well below the ones they used in the 1930s--so interesting. And yes, Wearever did put out catalogues plus one-page flyers for drug stores and other sellers. I have a reproduction (sic!) of a 1936 catalogue of many--not all--of the models they were selling.
