Yes, I'm aware of their entire range of pens. Of course... it can also often come down to aesthetics, very personal aesthetics, and they may not make sense but can be the final determinant in interest and purchase.
In this case, it is two things: this is the only pen of theirs that has the brand name glaringly embossed (or likely laser etched) in bold print on the cap. I absolutely LOATHE the modern 'Conklin' pens for this kind of branding. Beyond that, here's how small a detail can sour something: I don't care for the flat top on the cap mated with the round bottom on the barrel!
Very small things in the big picture, and it is a shame because I like the look of those ebonites. I only 'like' about half of their acrylics that I own and wish they went in other directions, but am happy enough with other elements.
But thank you for pointing out, and I hope maybe they would have a C80 in one of these ebonites. That would put it so close to a traditional Japanese style HR pen I might go for it!
