October 2000 founder Donal Higgins launched Pentrace and we came the most active fountain pen website ever created. Back then we were having 100,000+ hits per month mostly on the Message Board and PenMarket pages. Our success gave others the thought to create their own sites, several others followed creating quite a diverse salad of choice for readers world-wide.

Over the last many years our dear departed friend Giovanni Abrate maintained our site with creative innovation and spirited challenges with quizzes and many articles to our Home Page.

Right now, unfortunately we have a problem with the Home Page but I hope to resolve that soon so readers can once again visit the wealth of articles and reports going back some 25 years.

My heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our many friends who have remained, participate and contribute to our world-wide audience.
