I don't know if she is that close to her Belgian relatives. I think she may not have informed anyone else than her daughter. If my information is correct Maria Gabriella needed to sell the jewels to settle a tax bill.

Prince Charles hated his Brother Leopold and his descendents. He gave this tiara to his sister Marie Josée in her old age , so she never wore it. Did Princess Marie Gabrielle speak about these 2 tiaras to his cousins Baudouin and Albert before selling them ? Previous Message
