Yesterday a rather formal banquet was hosted by the Malaysian Defence Forces in honour of the King of Malaysia who is fast reaching the end of his five-year term as King. The Queen was also present and although she did not wear a tiara she did wear a magnificent Diamond necklace. It is the same necklace that she wore for the coronation of Charles III last year. In addition the Queen wore a substantial Diamond brooch. I am always amazed by the quantity of jewels worn by the Royal Families in South East Asia:



It looks like the Queen also received yet another piece of jewellery as a gift from the military which was presented in a sparkling box:



Sadly there is no clear image of the jewel itself.
