You need to remember that Queen Alexandrine divided her jewels among her two sons Frederik and Knut.
Queen Ingrid also choose to have each one of her three daughters inherit specific pieces instead of putting the historic jewels she owned into the family foundation.
If you look at it Queen Margrethe does not own many grand jewels outright so she has little options to leave things to her heir. Besides she has two sons and the fact that one line will continue the monarchy in Denmark does not mean that her second son and his children are any less dear to her. They may not have much use for tiara's but they are her offspring.

A bit surprising that there are not more jewels in the Løsørefideikommis. I would have thought, because of tax issues among other, that former regents would have place more jewels to be used by future monarchs. Previous Message
