I thought I would share something the late Queen said when speaking with a member of the jury of the Trial of Pyx.
QEII had received the 70th platinum Jubilee brooch from the Goldsmith's Hall.
She asked how he became a member, he replied through patrimony his father had been a member, - she replied "yes, that's an excellent system, I got my job that way".
