Of course some of the grander pieces should remain for the queen but others can be shared. That would make keeping them part of the collection the monarch inherits a good idea because the rest only get to use jewels from the royal collection when they need to. That would make the jewels less of a private thing and more part of the Royal collections. I hope William has nothing against them though he did make a statement about figures cut from ivory in the past. Previous Message

I get the feeling rhat jewels are to be downplayed. It could be partly William's influence I suspect.

Are you referring to this year's reception for the Diplomatic Corps? If so, I think the Queen was the only female member of the Royal Family to be present - which is a real shame, imho. I would have loved for the Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal and/or the Duchess of Gloucester to be present (as well as the Princess of Wales of course, but even though her husband was there she had a very valid reason for not being there). King Charles and Queen Camilla will do exactly what they please in regard to Orders controlled by the King.
I wish we could see what the other royal ladies wore to this latest event.
