The Dutch collection also has a (now broken up) yellow gold tiara. A gift from the Sultan of Kutai (on Borneo island) for Queen Wilhelmina upon her ascension to the throne in 1898. A traditional yellow gold and diamond bandeau could be set with several elements to create a tiara/circlet. The elements could also be put on tortoise hairpins etc. The diamond and gold elements are now used as brooches, earrings and pendants. The bandeau was turned into a bracelet. Very versatile set.
