I didn’t get a feeling of joy from anyone in the photos, maybe it was the photographers bad luck happening to catch them at the wrong angles. At any rate, nice to see Princess Ingrid Alexandra participate and her gown was lovely, although I expect we will soon tire of her great-great-grandmothers diamond and white sapphire tiara in the coming years. Also nice to see an infrequent outing with the Joséphine tiara for HM. I wonder if the tiara is considered fragile now, and only worn rarely for that reason.

Always good to see Josefina's diamond tiara. It's my favourite tiara of the Norwegian collection. It would have been nice if HM would have used the amethyst set to go with it as she is wearing a dress that would have worked with it.
I'd love to see Mette-Marit in Queen Maud's diamond tiara possibly in the aquamarine setting of it.
It seems the banquet was held not in the banqueting room but in the ballroom and with less people attending than normally is the case.
Good to see Emanuel Macron has finally acquired a real white tie instead of the mock up he wore in Amsterdam and I believe in the UK as well. Previous Message
King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway hosted tonight a State banquet at Oslo Royal Palace, in honour of French president Emmanuel Macron and First lady Brigitte Macron.
The jewels:
- Queen Sonja: Queen Josefina of Sweden's diamond tiara, two diamond rivières, Queen Alexandra's diamond girandole earrings, and Queen Maud's wedding gift pearl and diamond brooch
- Crown Princess Mette-Marrit: her daisy diamond bandeau and a pearl and diamond brooch previously worn by Princess Ragnhild
- Princess Ingrid-Alexandra: Princess Ingeborg's Boucheron pearl and diamond tiara, a diamond rivière, Crown Princess Märtha's pearl and diamond earrings, and the bracelet made with Queen Maud's badge of Victoria and Albert Order
- Princess Astrid: Queen Maud's turquoise and diamond parure.
On this picture, we can also see that Queen Sonja pinned her sash of the French Legion of Honour with one of her Maltese cross diamond brooch:
