
The only reason to take that crown would be to open Parliament, which seems so unlikely.
So far I have checked with only Wikipedia which says about "the speech from the throne" -
The sovereign has specifically delivered the speech only three times in Canadian history; Queen Elizabeth II in 1957 and 1977,[6] and King Charles III in 2025.[7]

I am readying The Last Season: 1939 by Ann de Courcy. In it she states that when George VI and Queen Elizabeth visited Canada and the USA in 1939, they were accompanied by the Imperial State Crown.
I have never heard anything of this. I thought that the Crown could not leave the country. Which is the reason the Crown of India was created.
There are a number of inaccuracies in the book, so I assume the is merely one more of these, but... Is anyone aware that the Imperial State Crown may have traveled to North America in 1939?
