Maybe they can go for a system like in Sweden, Luxembourg and The Netherlands so instead of personal jewels most important pieces are part of a foundation and the various ladies use the jewels when needed. There is already a family foundation that has some pieces.
The use of such a foundation might mean people (Queen Margrethe, Queen Mary, Princess Isabella, Count Ingolf and his nieces in this matter) are more willing to hand over personally owned pieces because they get to use them anyway but no longer have to carry the costs of insurance, cleaning, storing and repairing the jewels.
That would lead to quite a collection where some pieces would not leave the country but most can be used. At the same time it means that most jewels will not have a very close connection to one particular lady. On the other hand i'd love to see Queen Margrethe in the rubies for once.

Considering that is a poor Royal House concerning jewels it is really sad so many items did not return to the main line.

Johan spoke about them for the lost jewels the main branch never had.
Half of Queen Alexandrine jewels went to King Frederic and Half to Prince Arve.
Prince Arve had 3 Children and one is only alive and have 3 granddaughters
Prince Christian and Countess Anne Dorte died first. Countess Anne Dorte Russian Saphire tiara was sold at bruun Rasmmussen 2 million DKK
Princes Elisabeth Thyra sapphire tiara was sold at Bruun Rasmussen for 87.000 euros.
Her Russian Fabergé Brooch was given to a Museum.
Until here nothing for the main Branch.
Count Ingolf and Countess Sussie are stll alive. They have the fringe tiara and the meander arband.
If Count Ingolf passes away , his wife Sussie will be the owner of the jewels, she will wear them and after her will they go to her nieces or the main branch . We have to wait and see.
