In my opinion, no matter what alterations, this tiara remains one of the ugliest existing.
With the amount of beautiful head pieces available in the possession of the BRF, I cannot believe that for the bride of the late QEII’s youngest son, they couldn’t find a better piece.
It’s ok that they wanted to use those elements of the regal circlet, but they could have asked Garrard or other jeweller to design a better base and tiara frame, to include those elements.
