I am catching up with a months-old issue of Country Life, and there was an ad for an upcoming jewelry auction. One of the pieces was a very pretty rock-crystal brooch engraved EA. It was apparently a gift from the duke of York to his new wife's bridesmaids. So Elizabeth & Albert. I wonder which bridesmaid's descendant was selling the piece.
