Surprisingly the dress code in Vilnius was white-tie for the State Banquet hosted in honour of the Danish Royal Couple. Suprising in a good way, of course. Because that meant that in addition to a tiara (which the Queen might have worn even though it had been "just" black-tie) we also got to see the hosts and guests of honour wearing the Orders they had exchanged earlier in the day. I really hope that in the future now the State Banquets hosted in connection with State Visits to Lithuania will be white-tie events as it is much grander.
