Mmh I actually think the fringe necklace draped over the border of the Duchess' dress was not a success. Also the combination with the diamond rivière - although reminiscent of Queen Mary - doesn t work here. Only a diamond rivière would have been enough IMHO. The tiara is one of the best out there. I wonder what will happen with Queen Mary's jewels. The descendants of the Gloucesters (and Kents for that matter) won t have much use for them in the future.

The belgian saphire tiara suits the Queen very well, and she seems to like it very much and feels confortable wearing it, but like other posters said we would love to see her wearing more tiaras from the collection. I am sure the rubi tiara would look amazing on HM, also the rubi circlet that the Pss of Wales wore I believe would suit the Queen best.
A question: I beleive its the first time (?) the Queen is wearing the saphire earrings from the George VI set. Has Her Majesty pierced her ears? Or were the earrings adapted for non pierced earrings?
The Princess Royal looked wonderful wearing Queen Mary's pearl and diamond London choker! I am not sure I'd seen her wearing it before or in recent years.
The Princess of Wales sadly chose to wear her hair down again... No necklace, no brooch... Lovely to see her always, but she can do better with the jewels at her disposal.
My 12 points go to the Duchess of Gloucester, as usual. She never fails. Is it a bracelet she wore with the pearl version only of QMary's fringe necklace?
Its the first time i see a picture of the Duchess wearing the fringe necklace like this, I actually had no ideia the turquoise drops could be removed. Such a beautiful and delicate jewel, I love it!
