It's a bit odd that Paola received the bandeau before the wedding but opted not to wear it for the state visit of Juliana and Beatrix shortly after her marriage. That's why I always assumed it must have been a gift after Philippe was born.

Just before the Royal Wedding in 1960 , King Leopold III gave to Dona Fabiola the Nine Province tiara she wore on her Wedding day 25 years after Queen Astrid. He gave Princess Paola the deco tiara , Queen Astrid received for Prince Albert birth from Queen Elisabeth. She wore it for the first time at the two Pre Weddings Events

Is it known if the tiara is owned by Paola personally or does it belong to Albert and she has the use of it? Previous Message
I suspect Paola will bequeath her personal jewels to her daughter and granddaughters not to her sons. In that scenario Elisabeth will most likely receive her tiara. If Elisabeth marries before that, she will probably be loaned the tiara or receive it as present. Previous Message
A total miss because to less jewels.
I don't like her earrings because they are new.
No necklace , perhaps the Wolfers would be to much.
No Brooch on her Sash (waterfall Brooch) because of the model of her Dress.
Queen Paola has two necklaces , halfmoon earrings, present of Princess Lilian, a flower brooch with a rubis, other brooches , pearl necklace etc....

No real surprises, Queen Mathilde is wearing the Nine Provinces Tiara and Queen Sonja is wearing Queen Maud’s Pearl Tiara for the Belgian S tate Banquet at the Royal Palace of Oslo tonight!
