On 25th March, the second day of their State visit to Norway, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a return reception at Oslo National Museum, in honour of the Norwegian Royal family.
Queen Mathilde wore on this occasion a pair of earrings that I don't remember to have seen before. They look of Art Déco style, and, guessing from the blue dress, I would think the stones are sapphires. Were these earrings seen before? And are the stones indeed sapphires?
These earrings are different from the cabochon sapphire drop earrings which were seen for the first time last year (and which Queen Mathilde wore in Stavanger for the last day of the State visit, on 26th March):
