If it's from Afghanistan, would that mean it's lapis lazuli? She certainly didn't wear that stone very often.

I'm afraid I did not pay it much notice so did not get a clear photo of the description. However, it dates from around 1930 and was a gift from an Afghan official, which is what i can make out from the photo.
