Has anyone visited Bucharest and seen this mighty crown in person? I’m so curious about it, the gleaming 22K gold, the chunky semiprecious stones, the opal draped chains. It’s just interesting to me. In addition to the cheaper stones, there are in fact some tiny precious rubies and emeralds to be found on it.
The crown also bears Marie’s father’s arms on one of the medallions, eternally marking in gold Marie’s origin as a British princess.
