Yes it is confusing when the messages use "it" too many times!!
I searched for the auction and found lots of artworks by Patricia Ramsay but no tiara. Ursula has a page that mentions two pieces of jewellery auctioned but not the tiara.
Munn has the honeysuckle tiara, and says honeysuckle, and the pic of Marie Louise wearing it. But Munn does not connect Anhalt with the tiara. Do we know where it was that that word became connected to the tiara?
--Previous Message-- : Nellie, I may have confused you- I am : referring to the scroll/honeysuckle design : which was last seen on Princess Patricia in : the photo above, it seems this was auctioned : after her death in 1974.. It was worn by : Helena Victoria at the coronation in 1937 : but the reference to the "Anhalt : Honeysuckle Tiara" suggests it would : have belonged to her sister Marie-Louise. I : was hoping the auction details would clarify : this if anything is available. These two : sisters fascinate me, they must have : received their mothers jewels and they were : both childless, it seems they must have left : instructions for dividing up their jewels : upon their deaths. : : --Previous Message-- : : Princess Marie Louise was godmother to : Prince Richard of Gloucester so we believe : the Indian tiara reached him straight from : her. : : : --Previous Message-- : : Does anybody know what happened to the : tiaras of Princesses Marie Louise and Helena : Victoria- apart from the Indian tiara with : the present Duchess of Gloucester? I'm : assuming this was inherited by the previous : Duchess of Gloucester. : : : :
