Thanks, Nellie.
Sticking with September's birthstone, these 19th century ladies all adorn their pearl strands with a sapphire cluster.
From left to right they are:
Grand Duchess Alexandra Iosifovna, born a princess of Saxe-Altenburg, mother of Queen Olga of Greece, great-grandmother of the Duke of Edinburgh, and great-great-grandmother of Constantine II, Queen Sofia, and Michael I
Princess Tatiana Alexandrovna Yusupova, whose family's jewel collection nearly rivaled that of the Imperial Family
Queen Victoria wearing the famous Albert sapphire
Countess von Schoenborn, about whom I have no information (portrait found here on gogm's excellent site)
Grand Duchess Elena Pavlovna, born Princess Charlotte of Württemberg whose descendants include the current head of the House of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
Some of these ladies have rarely, if ever, been discussed here, so perhaps our very informed posters will have some additional information about their jewels.
