It is interesting to see what jewels were given as Christening presents. I once read a news report that Victoria, the Princess Royal, was given a large turquoise by Prince Albert for her Christening, and the jewel (a brooch if recollect correctly) was pinned to the christening gown.
If others have information about other jewels being presented as Christening presents, that would make for an interesting thread.
